About Me
What feels like a lifetime ago, inspiration struck during an ordinary moment of watching TV. In the show, How I Met Your Mother, aka HIMYM, because everything needs an abbreviation, Poor Ted was bemoaning the fact that we all carry around baggage. BOOM! Some people carried small suitcases, some had two and three bags, while others were lugging around trunks full of baggage, the kind people used to take on overseas journeys not the elephant kind.
Sitting there watching this episode, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Yes! We all have baggage and I’m tired of lugging mine around. The scripture in the Bible jumped to my mind, “If the Son has set you free, then you are free indeed.” John 8:36. I want to be free! I want to live in the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ!
If you want to become baggage free with me, the place to start is with prayer. Ask Jesus come into your heart, to forgive you of your wrongdoings, and He will lovingly and faithfully take you on a journey that will change your life. He didn’t promise it would be easy, but totally worth it.
In this blog, I’ll share some tools and lessons Jesus has brought into my life. It might be through a song, book, TV show…who knows. God can use anything – and anyone to speak and inspire us, right?
