Easter Sunday: The Resurrection of Christ
Easter is the day Christians celebrate the Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ!!! Amen!! It is a powerful depiction of unstoppable love, the love of a Father willing to let His son die for his creation, the Son dwelled among his creation, and the Holy Spirit living inside the creation. This shows the transformative nature of that love. It all comes to a beautiful climax today on Easter. Yes, Jesus died for us and he didn’t stay that way. He came back to life! Death could not hold him! The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is still alive today for ALL to be set free from fear, sin, shame, addictions, torment, confusion, lust, bitterness, gluttony… anything that ties our hands, silences our voice, or cripples our feet. NOTHING can seperate us from the love of God!
“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.” ) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”Romans 8:35-39 NLT

Do you truly believe this? Has the idea become so familiar that it’s lost its message? We know it by memory but it’s not pierced the heart? Is it just another story? Do you believe Psalm 91 or is it just a pretty poem?
“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter,For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.””Psalms 91:1-16 NLT

The church has shut its doors for fear of liability and telling its people it’s out of love, compliance cloaked in compassion, fear over faith, conformity over transformation. This is NOT the message of the resurrection power of Jesus Christ!
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2 NIV

If you watch the show, “The Chosen”, it beautifully brings life to the scriptures, you’ll see Jesus performing miracle after miracle. He restores the demonic possessed, the unclean leper, he heals the blind, lame and sick. He loves the outcast, the undesirables: fishermen, women, children… The people that are looked down upon by society are all welcome in Jesus’ presence. No one is turned away for any reason. Jesus did everything as an example for us.
“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” Romans 8:11
The Church has lost its calling. It is not preaching the gospel of the resurrection power of Christ! It’s not preaching freedom from sin. I am so concerned that it has led so many believers astray AND not led unbelievers to salvation.
Church, It’s not loving to shut people out. It’s not love to muzzle others. It’s not love to force compliance over inclusion. “If you can’t wear a mask for any reason, please worship at home” is not Christlike! It’s not love to “strongly encourage” someone to inject something into their bodies in the name of “loving others”. This is not what the Bible says! We had a road map on what to do in case of emergencies and you failed to read it.

I pray that everyone will walk in the peace & freedom found in God’s love.
“If the Son has set you free then you are free indeed.” John 8:36
